The Apalachicola River Project brings together faculty and community partners with diverse skill sets. From social media scholars to environmental scientists, digital video producers to community organizers, the A.R.P. team connects Florida State to the local community in meaningful and influential ways.

Summer is an Assistant Professor in the School of Communication at Florida State where she teaches and researches social media campaigns and social movements.
Jeremy Owens, Ph.D.
Jeremy is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Earth, Oceans and Atmospheric Science at Florida State where his research focuses on the connections and interactions between ocean chemistry, biology and climate perturbations that relate to significant changes in oxygen concentrations. Diane Roberts, Ph.D.
Diane is a Professor in the English Department at Florida State where she teaches non-fiction writing.
Georgia Ackerman
Georgia is the former Vice-President of the Apalachicola Riverkeeper Board of Directors and a longtime community organizer for environmental issues in the Florida Panhandle.
Dan Tonsmeire

Danny Goddard
Danny is an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Earth, Oceans and Atmospheric Science at Florida State where he has taught the capstone class for graduating Environmental Science and Policy majors for many years.
