Progress Report #1
Our group has been hard at work, developing the research and content necessary to begin our campaign. From the environmental studies department, Eva and Drew have been compiling relevant information about solar energy and policies here in Tallahassee. In Drew's research, he has been focusing on the impacts of clean energy compared to the current impacts of combustible energy production which is widely used today. By looking at the potential that clean energy has in Florida, and the facts about how Florida uses energy right now, we are able to provide clear, informed, and correct information to our community. Meanwhile, Eva has been focused on environmental policies here in Tallahassee. From speaking with environmental law students, to keeping us up to date on new green initiatives in Tallahassee, Eva looks to inform our community about what upcoming and current policies impact Florida's energy consumption.
Other members of our group have been developing the aesthetics and artistic components of our campaign. Breanne has been collecting reference materials for the project’s aesthetics and working on our social media presence. That being said, our Instagram profile is now live! Follow us here to keep up to date with our campaign. We aim to flesh out our social media campaign more fully before posting consistently. The group deliverables, website design, blog posts, and social media campaign structure have been brought to you by Aliya. In the coming weeks we will begin production on our video campaign content and final project. In the meantime, keep up to date with the wonderful things happening with our team and in the Tallahassee community!
Here are some great things we have encountered:

Progress Report #2
The group has made headway since our last check in. Altogether the team has put a lot of effort into the specific structure and organization of the presentation of our gathered information. We have a solid script for our main fictional entertainment video titled “At Home with Sunny Jones”, which is a major focus point of our project. Recently, the group has selected a location and come to a consensus on the type of equipment needed, despite some setback. We have set a date for production for this main video and we are all planning to all be there for its creation. We have also been learning more about our topic together as a group, through the Q&A today with Elizabeth Swiman, Director of Sustainable Campus at FSU, and we all plan to go to the Renewables Roundtable Seminar.
The group has also created a “NowThis” style informative video. Currently, we have one, unedited video, that presents solar energy information broadly, but we are planning on having more locally focused information videos as well. We will present content regarding the local work (Tallahassee/FSU) being done in terms of shifting to renewable solar energy.
Our social media outlets are also up and coming. We have many posts on our Facebook and Instagram with one photo on Instagram having 30 likes and a few comments. The group has a solid plan in fulfilling what we already had in mind, as well as potentially adding some extra content while staying aware of events and policies occurring in our area.
